Bravo Two Zero hero Chris Ryan meets with the Sabre team!

Chris Ryan walked into military history as the "one that got away" from the now highly publicized and ill-fated SAS Gulf War Patrol "Bravo Two Zero".

His amazing story of survival, mental toughness and tenacity recalls how he was separated during an escape and evasion attempt by the members of the Bravo Two Zero Patrol after its compromise deep behind enemy lines in Iraq.

He then walked and fought his way across many hundreds of miles of enemy territory alone to his eventual escape across the Syrian border. The miles he covered suffering from sleep deprivation, exposure and near starvation atop of the constant threat of instant death or capture, make his story one of most incredible of true human endurance in the face of adversity.

Chris (now also a best selling author) was in Australia launching his new best selling book "Land of Fire" and the Sabre team was on hand to help with the launch. It was a fascinating opportunity to hear first hand of one of the greatest stories of survival in Special-Forces history.
