Sabre staff meet with Stormin' Norman Schwarzkopf
What do corporate and military commanders have in common? Sabre has experienced an overwhelmingly positive reaction following our World Masters sponsorship of General Norman Schwarzkopf.
Following
the high profile Masters of Business and our sponsorship and involvement
with the one and only Commander of Operation Desert Storm, General
Norman Schwarzkopf, we have received a tremendous response from
both old and new clients.
As a once in a lifetime business and sponsorship opportunity we were fortunate enough to spend some time with this great leader and of course benefit from his lively "Battlefield to the Boardroom" approach to leadership in the corporate world.
Our involvement sparked a great deal of interest, naturally enough, in our Strike Force programme and its dynamic military style approach to corporate teamwork, leadership and strategy development. Recent studies from major US business schools have identified amazing correlation between the methods adopted by institutions like West Point with regards to matters of leadership and highly successful corporate organisations. Naturally one model does not necessarily superimpose over another, but the military has doubtless played a large role in developing our civilisations views on leadership behaviour, particularly at a strategic level, within any organisation.
The association with General Schwarzkopf one again highlighted to us the many parallels between corporate and military commanders and the vital role that leadership can play in the outcome of any endeavour whether battlefield or marketplace.
Sabre has some very effective approaches for developing the war to business analogy for any corporate client. Our senior military consultant, recently retired Lt Col Graeme Mickelberg, is available to compliment our Strike Force programmes with a detailed military style assessment of your organisations approach to leadership and strategy.
