Sabre was recently afforded the opportunity to get involved with a project that was outside of our usual team building / team and leadership development with clients.
We used some of the historically accurate arms and armour from our living history themed team building events to assist with a local school's history programme.
The collection used included swords, helmets, armour, shields, spears, axes and clothing from the Dark Ages, Viking Age and the Crusades.
Sabre team members versed in the historical context of the gear (with a little advice from our expert and historical advisor Damien Fegan) talked the kids through the context, uses and styles of gear.
The really fun bit for the kids was getting to handle the gear and to actually try on some of the helmets and the armour.
