Team building for charity with Sabre.

For decades, Sabre has proudly supported a wide range of local and international charities by linking client team building experiences with meaningful, real-world outcomes.

While fun and engagement are central to every program we deliver, we also believe that the positive energy generated by a great team event can, and should, ripple outward into the community.

One of the simplest and most effective ways for clients to make a difference is through our charity-based prize system. Instead of offering prizes that are purely symbolic, winning teams can receive tokens representing charitable gifts that will be donated on their behalf. These gifts are then passed directly to worthwhile organisations, creating a tangible legacy that extends well beyond the event itself.

A recent example came from our Team Survivors challenge in Byron Bay. The winning team was thrilled to discover that, alongside the usual medals, chocolates and celebratory champagne, each of them had also donated a gift of live chickens through World Vision. These chickens provide ongoing eggs, essential protein and a sustainable source of nutrition for communities in need, a powerful reminder that small gestures can have big, lasting impact.

Other event formats that we run have resulted in thousands of toys and bicycles being donated to children’s charities through our Team Toy Story program, as well as much-needed Backpack Beds for Homeless distributed via our Street Survivor challenge. In each case, the competitive spirit of a team activity is transformed into something far more meaningful: practical support for people who need it most.

Whether it’s livestock, survival packs, bikes or toys, these charitable prizes offer clients a simple yet profoundly rewarding way to embed purpose into their team building experience, proving that the best prizes don’t glitter, but they will make a real difference.

Sabre has many great options that provide team building for charity outcomes.
